I wrote When Silence Never Ends in an attempt to better understand the thirteen days following my son's disappearance and murder. While 13 Days of Silence documented the facts, this screenplay allowed me to explore the uncertainty, rumors, unanswered questions, and emotional reality of living through those days.
This project was never about finding closure. In many ways, closure remains elusive. Instead, it became an opportunity to examine grief, resilience, and the lasting impact of unanswered questions through a different creative lens.
My first screenplay, When Silence Never Ends is inspired by true events and adapted from my true crime memoir, 13 Days of Silence: The Murder of Rylee James.
