Leavenworth County Violent Crime Victims Memorial™
Because Every Life Deserves to Be Remembered.
The Leavenworth County Violent Crime Victims Memorial™ is a free, independent digital memorial created to remember people whose lives were taken by violent crime in Leavenworth County, Kansas.
I created the memorial because of my son, Rylee James Styler, who was murdered in Leavenworth County in 2022. Years later, while looking for a permanent place where victims like Rylee could be remembered, I realized there wasn't one. So I decided to create it.
This memorial is intentionally centered on the person who lived, not the person who took their life or the crime that ended it. Each memorial gives families and loved ones a place to share a photograph, memories, and the pieces of a life that deserve to be remembered.
The only geographic requirement is that the violent crime resulting in their death occurred in Leavenworth County, Kansas. They did not have to live there, and there is no cutoff date for when the death occurred.
There is no cost to families to have their loved one included.
This space belongs to the victims. Their lives deserve more space than the people who took them.
